“Mouth-talk.” That’s what Liberians call the impressive words never meant to be acted upon. “I’m a Christian” has become “mouth-talk!” It sounds good coming out of our mouths, but we have no intention of living the faith we claim as our identity.

We’re Americans first. Republicans first. Democrats first. Our rights come first. Yet we spew mouth-talk about Christ, blind to our deep-seated hypocrisy. But the watching world sees us…
